Jacob earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. His vision is to empower clients to take control of their health and fitness. As a CSEP-Certified Personal Trainer with years of experience, he has helped athletes, older adults, and individuals living with chronic health conditions accomplish their goals. Having overcome numerous injuries himself, he understands the rehabilitation process and can guide you through recovery while helping you improve performance, strength, and mobility.
His research in muscle physiology at UBC informs his practice, allowing him to provide measurable, objective, and individualized training grounded in science. In addition to in-clinic sessions, Jacob integrates his background as an Aquafit Instructor to deliver hydrotherapy—helping clients rebuild movement capacity and confidence in a safe, low-load environment that supports their stage of recovery. As an Orangetheory Fitness Coach, he is also skilled in heart rate–based training and endurance development. Jacob’s ability to listen with empathy allows him to understand each client’s unique needs and circumstances, providing the support essential to their rehabilitation journey.
A lifelong athlete and competitor, Jacob has completed the BMO Marathon, raced in triathlons, and continues to compete in basketball. He enjoys tailoring his training to improve explosiveness, agility, and sports performance. Outside of the clinic, Jacob can often be found mountain biking and hiking the North Shore trails. His personal and professional experiences in performance, injury prevention, and recovery allow him to connect with clients through both empathy and expertise.
